Braydon Fisher, a right-handed pitcher with a 2-1 record and a 5.68 earned-run average, 15 walks, and 30 strikeouts in 5 combined appearances with Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City, was acquired by the Toronto Blue Jays from the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for cash considerations and utility player Cavan Biggio. Fisher, a native of League City, Texas, was selected by the Dodgers in the fourth round of the 2018 first-year player draft.
With an appearance in 134 minor league games, the six-foot-four, 180-pound right-handed reliever for the Dodgers has a 4.53 ERA.
Before being assigned for assignment on Friday, Biggio, 29, played in 44 games with the Blue Jays in 2024, hitting.200 with six extra-base hits and nine runs batted in.
Biggio, a native of Houston, was chosen by the Blue Jays in the fifth round of the first-year player selection in 2016.
In 2019, he made his major league debut for the team and placed fifth in the American League rookie of the year competition.
Biggio played first base.227 in more than 490 major-league games with Toronto, with 77 doubles, four triples, 48 home runs, and 176 runs batted in.
